Missoni Prints...

I am currently absolutely obsessed with the Spring/Summer Missoni collection and after seeing the above photo of aftershow models wearing the designs I'm sure you can understand why. If you are not a poor student like me you can buy from Net-A-Porter however with most items being over £1000 it is far out ouf my price range. I've compiled a few of the items I'm mostly lusting after (sorry for the poor photoshopping skills) however I think the headband, modestly priced at £65 is the only piece I could possibly own...

Marrakech...

Last year I went to Marrakech for 4 days. It was such a crazy place with the est orange juice I've ever tasted. We had some pretty exciting/scary experiences; being led through alleyways in the middle of the night to find somewhere to sleep was one of the most memorable. I'd definately recommend anyone looking for a vibrant holiday to pay Morrocco a visit. A word of caution though, alcohol is incredibly hard to get hold of so take some with you if you want to drink while you're there!
The top photo is of Palais El Badi, taken by Dan and the bottom was taken by me in one of the Souks.

So long, Marianne...

I simply love Leonard Cohen.
So long, Marianne, Suzanne and Sisters of Mercy are some of my favourite songs. All his music has just the right mix of melancholia and beautiful melodies to make it suitable listening for almost any mood. I was lucky enough to be able to see him perform two years ago which was an amazing experience. Unfortunately for Leonard, he had been forced to tour again after his manager stole alot of his money but still managed to put on a great show even at the age of 72.

Lookbook

It's often easy to have a hard time working out what to wear in the mornings and any form of inspiration is always welcome. One of my go to websites is lookbook. This site displays the sartorial choices from a selection of the best dressed people from across the globe. One of the downsides to trawling through the photos is that everyone featured is ridiculously good looking. This is one of my favourite photos I've seen recently. Although its a simple outfit it really works together and I especially love the lace top.

The living is easy...

(Pavillion Gardens)

(Brighton Beach)

Living in Brighton is always fun but especially in the Summer. After a couple of weeks of heatwave weather I've started to get excited about the next few months of sunny days. One of my favourite places to hang out used to be the beach but recently the excessive crowds have been putting me off in favour of the more relaxed Pavillion Gardens or the crusty hangout at the Level. This summer looks like it's going to be a good one with long days spent barbequeing, drinking cherry lambrini and improving my (currently noexistant) frisbee skills.

'I don't like jail, they got the wrong type of bars there'

Charles Bukowski...

After recently reading Post Office I've become fascinated with Bukowski. Despite him clearly being a horrible person and actually kicking his girlfriend in the face during an interview the words he writes are so compelling that it is difficult to hold it against him. Next I want to read Factotum. Here's another of his often unoptimistic but accurate quotes,
'Of course, it's possible to love a human being if you don't know them too well.'

5 days...

(Bristol)
(Katherine and Izzy at Lovebox)

My amazing friend Katherine will soon be moving in with me and I can't wait! I've known this girl for years and now I'l get to borrow her clothes as much as I want. After many visits to Brighton while I've been here at uni she's finally decided to move here and even found herself an awesome job - shoe supervisor at New Look...hugely jealous.

A Tale of Two Cities...

(Palms by Gutem and jasminefish)

(taken from Flickr by Driefachzucker and Cherie)

There's a group on Flickr which came up with the excellent idea of sending one roll of film to two different cities to take two different exposures and some of the results are really beautiful. Here are a couple of my favourite above. I've applied to be on the next round of films so hopefully I can take part soon.

Uke-envy...

My friend Sam has recently bought a ukele and despite his inability to play it I'm incredibly jealous. I wish I had some kind of musical talent so could play as well as these guys....

I wish....

I have a slightly out of control clothes habit, when I first got my student overdraft i blew £1500 on clothes in less than 3 months. However, due to money issues I've had to cut back alot but I can still dream...
These are 4 of the things I'm lusting after at the moment and I think they would make up an awesome outfit. The dress is from a site called bluebird vintage and is $52 (way outta my price range). The shoes and bag are from topshop and miss selfridge. I love the leather jacket although the recent heatwave is making me think it may be a little too hot but would be perfect for autumn.
